Weekend Floggin

Wooo, Billy B is baccckkkk. Love most of the Pats draft class from this weekend. Just the capper of an all-world sports fest of a weekend that featured the draft, a Sox sweep over the Yanks and plenty of hockey and basketball playoff action. Unfortunately it was also like 85 degress everyday, so you had to leave your couch.

Thinking people like me made the best of both worlds and set up a TV on the outside deck. Yea, it was like 19 inches, but whatevs.

Couple things from the weekend:

OK, I know this is old, but I noticed we never covered it on our site and their may be some people who missed it. Susan Boyle. The Scottish women who swept the world 2 weeks ago with her stunning performance on Britain's Got Talent. The embedding on the video is disable on all of them for some reason, But pleaaaasssseee click the link and watch if you haven't seen. Thing is an unreal critter and it will blow you away. The voice comes out of nowhere.

The reason I'm bringing it up is because she had a makeover this weekend. Don't know why this has become the biggest pop culture story fo '09 but it has. Now people are saying she joked when she said she's never been kissed, etc. Some people are wondering if it was all staged. I just think they're haters. Look at that pick below. Woo:

Stephen A Smith will be gone from ESPN after the NBA playoffs. The Worldwide Leader isn't reknewing his contract.

Watched a little of the Rangers-Caps game yesterday. Caps killed NY to even the amazing series at 3 apiece. The Bruins could play the Rangers if they end up winning, but if Washington wins Boston would play Pitt. I was nervouse of the Rangers after they were up 3-1, but now that Henrik Lundquist has gotten shelled, not so much. Interesting note is that Rangers' coach John Tortorella was forced to watch the game from a high up box after getting into it with some Caps fans the game before. I guess he was doused with beer, but he also squired water at fans and tried to spear them with a stick:

Ovechken on the whole thing: "Good job by our fans. Our fans are one more player for us. They do what they have to do for us." Guy's ill.

This made me LOL:

Finally, we'll end with this clip. A few people got together for some drinks Friday at Barretts and for some reason the Sean Costello Texas clip came up. Well, I stumbled upon the full clip after it was recommended to me by YouTube. At the very least, FF to the 5:00 mark and watch the last 45 seconds. It will have you LOL'n:

  1. Don't forget if the Whalers, I mean Hurricanes win game 7 at Jersey and the Rangers lose, we play them. 4-0-0 against them this year including a couple blow outs, so hope for a Canes win tomorrow night.

  2. Oh Nick you should have seen me and Gambee hauling a giant TV out through his bulk head on Saturday. We had an outside glare filled TV party too. It was sweet.
