WBCN is no more folks, and I'm F*ing pissed about it. This morning on my way to work I turned on 104.1 hoping to hear Toucher and Rich who usually have me laughing out loud for a good portion of my car ride. Well apparently they are still there (along with some new chick) but wow did they suck...NOT ONLY that but the first song I heard was Lady GaGa "Poker face." Everyone knows I love me som Ga, but I don't love ANOTHER top 40 station in boston. Especially considering Jamn 94.5 has been creeping that way and playing some Britney and other risky stuff....here is the NEW POWER 104
How Awesome were notes from girls back in the day???? Pretty sure they were the best things ever in Middle/I used to go HIGH School. My boy Retta texted me a couple of weeks back about getting something in the blog about em and it's taken me a while but it was awesome to get a note with tons of girl code talk in it. 143, bffl, and other great ones ive forgotten..... Or the ever popular IGYABJITBPLASC (I'll give you a blow job in the back parking lot after Spanish class)....which I never recieved.
The only thing better to me was girl ratings list which I'm pretty sure me and my boy Sal pioneered in like 7th grade. The key was to always rate the girl that you liked the highest, and also to make sure the list was always heard about by THAT girl. Me and Sal would be making them in class and fake dropping them on the floor for the girls to find....the worst part was that when the girls started making the lists my name never appeared. Epic Fail.

ReplyDeleteYea I was a real bastard back in the day. Something Im not proud of but I was an absolute Dennis the menace. Me and Zim would just give girls scores as they walked by us in the hallways. Took a week or so to catch on but Ari Wile got a 4 and knew what it meant. She ran to the principals and got us nice and busted. No hard evidence though.
