NEW BLOGS

Please check out www.thekidisback.com for Jake and Anthony's (AKA Balla AKA Flum) new blog.

Nick, Myself and hopefully Kate will probably come out of retirement as well at a different site so I'll link you up when we get our ish together. Our breakup has been amicable but I might write a tell all book in the future if Perkins isn't careful (he wore a thong to one of the blog meetings) or if Williams doesn't cooperate with me on our new venture (he got 4.5 hookers this summer), just sayin.

Thanks to all the readers and followers we had while this blog was rolling. Look forward to posting again for you soon somewhere else.

Blog-Cation

(This is a picture of me on my blog-cation..I know, I know..I've slimmed down quite a bit since my last picture).

Faithful blog readers.....it seems that everyone on the W K F T B team has abandoned me. While I am one of the more dynamic kids in all of existence, it is still hard to maintain a full time job with terrible hours, and entertain all of you. For this reason I think I am going to take a break from blogging for the next few days until I can bring a new blog team at you. If you'd like to apply for the position feel free to hit me up with a comment. I have a few targets in mind...so if I don't get at you, get at ME.

I love you all.

Music Monday Part 2

I hate to make this an R+B Music Monday but I guess I don't know how I CANT put up a song with Mariah and T-Pain...you just have to put it up even if its whack; they just make too many hits.

Mariah Carey ft. T-Pain - "I Remember"

Now to the opposite of Mariah Carey.....JR Writer

JR Writer feat. Hell Rell - "The Bank Brothers"
I probably feel JR Writer more than most....

-JPerk

Music Monday Part 1

Happy Columbus Day everyone. Is that what you say...??? Happy? Or is it Merry? Who knows.

Lupe Fiasco - "Fire"
This is his response to MTV's latest ranking of the hottest MCs in the game. I think they ranked the top 20, and obviously Lupe was not on there and took offense. If your curious Jay-Z was #1.

The other day me and Nick were wondering..is Jay Sean the best artist of our generation? Obviously I'm kidding but I always throw random R+B on here and there is something so ill about Jay Sean.

Jay Sean ft. Lil Jon' and Sean Paul - "Do You Remember"
Yes, Lil Jon' still exists.

I'll get at you later on with Part 2.

I found him.

I know a lot of our loyal blog readers have been worried about blog contributor Nick. He hasn't been posting at all...no one has seen him...I have called him countless times, the kid has disapeared.

But hope is not lost my people, because I have video proof that Nick is alive and well....and is holding down the block????

So no worries everyone....Nick is out there with his ice cream cone holding shit downnnnnnnnnnnnnn.

A RE-Tribue to...Kate Beckinsale

Over the course of thise blog I have made it no secret that Kate Beckinsale is the sexiest woman alive. She is hands down my favorite and I would kill masses of people to have the privilige of being with her....So it certainly makes sense that Esquire Magazine aptly gave the title of "Sexiest Woman Alive" to Kate Beckinsale.

I wonder if there is such a thing as like...sexiest blogger alive??? And if so where I would finish on that list. Probably near the bottom huh? Cool. Anyways, to honor Kate I bring you the esquire video from her photo shoot.

So congratulations Kate...and anytime you want to holla at the sexiest blogger alive just give my people a call. I'd love to hang out and talk about our future together.

Athletes Being Ill

First we have Miggy Cabrera who got into a nice drunk fight with his g/f and played a hugely important game for the Tigers about 12 hours later with a sweet scratch on his face and prolly hungover. This is one of the news stories. I may have altered it a bit:

MINNEAPOLIS -- Detroit star Miguel Cabrera has apologized to his teammates for being drunk last weekend between two games the Tigers lost while trying to clinch the AL Central title.

When pressed on exactly what he said to his teammates, Cabrera paused and said "Sorry for partying."

-This is why I love Big Ben. Not just because he hucks it for 300 every week for one of my fantasy teams, but because he is such a manly ill guy. Huge, rugged, backwards hats and beards. His fat sodium face is def from woofing pizzas and dark beers at 1 AM. He's ill. I have a crush on Brady like any New England male, but could you picture him with his O-Line blapping Suck Its?

Why I sometimes hate YouTube

Alright I can't even pretend to hate YouTube because let's face it, there are days when all of us spend countless hours on it. It really is such a trap...you go on the Tube looking for a music video and end up clicking on so many sidebar videos and other stuff that your on there for hours.

BUT a pet peeve of mine is when they take down videos....it really ruins my Music Mondays that I work so hard on. So I really do apologize that the Kristina DeBarge and Fabolous song is taken down but I just searched the Tube and couldn't find a working video.

And so...since my half birthday was just a few short weeks ago I bring you this video to try and make up for the blemish of Music Monday. The lyrics are decent and I got a few laughs.

I will be back later on.

Just for something different every week I'm going to try and bring you a track by a mostly unknown artist/artistS so you can hear some different shit. Also so I myself and hear some different shit...a win/win for everyone, feel me? Just like hot girls at the beach, they get a tan and we get to look at them...same concept. Here is this weeks.....

Is this blog dying????

Sometimes we all have to face the music.....In the last week or so it seems as if I have been the only one consistently posting on this blog. I wish I could give you the reasons why it was just me, but I really don't even know them myself.

Is it because I am the best? I mean...I guess that goes without saying. So even though it seems that both blog followers and blog writers alike are dying, I am going to continue to post my nonsense whenever I feel like it.

If you have not picked up a cheerleading sqaud in your NFL Fantasy leagues here is the reason why you should go Washington Redskins.

Also, how the F did A show called The Search for the Ultimate Spike Girl slip past our radar here on WKFTB. And why did no one tell me about it? Click HERE to look at the contestants....wow. Check out Kirstina Colonna on page 2 or 3 of that...big fan of her, but they are all incredible.

Enjoy your Saturday.

Fame Kills...the Tour

Fresh off waking up early to make sure I got good tickets in the pre-sale, the Fame Kills tour featuring Kany West and Lady GaGa was cancelled yesterday. There are rumors flying around everywhere as to just why the tour was cancelled. In the aftermath of the whole Kanye/Taylor Swift controversy it was said that the sales for the concerts were already poor.

Apparently Kanye and GaGa's people were at eachothers throats about playing at smaller venues in the first place to ensure the shows would be sold out. I'm guessing Kanye and his huge egooooo wasn't feeling that.

There is also the rumor that Kanye is checking into rehab and blaming the whole Taylor Swift thing on the a-a-a-a-alc-alcohol, so if this is true I'm sure it will be major news in the near future. Whatever the case is, I wish I didn't get up early and stay on ticketmaster all day to make sure I got good seats for nothing. Hey maybe ticket sales sucked because the first section of Loge seats were like 200 dollars Kanye...ever think of that?

A Late Tribute to....Lauren London

So I was watching an episode from season 3 of Entourage last night with Nick and Tevlin (who will eventually make it in the film business and in turn hopefully make me famous somehow) when Lauren London came on the screen. I forgot how much I love Lauren London. From the first time I laid eyes on her in the movie "ATL" with TI I knew that we were meant for eachother....or at least that I was meant to sweat her. However....she became a lot more interesting to me when I started doing this post because

...she is the mother of Lil Wayne's 3rd child. Oh yahhhhhhhhhh it's true. I feel like I should have known about this. Was I the only one that didn't know? Good for Weezy man...the self proclaimed best rapper alive should be out there slaying biddies like Lauren anyways. I hate to ruin Lauren for you all...but here is the proof of her pregnancy. I'm saying she still looks pretty hot for being months pregnant....

Hey Lauren good luck with Wayne...I'm sure he's not out there slaying 1000 other girls and making more children. Terrible choice when ya coulda been with the kidddddddd. Now have fun raising his alien child....

Conesy....getting bundled

I have to admit that I haven't really watched Conan in the new 11:30 timeslot. I heard the show is pretty ill though...and I also heard that he had to cancel his show this past Friday because he knocked himself unconcious. Well...here is the video of just how that happened.

Haaaaaa....I like how he tried to play it off like he was fine and continue on with the show. What a warrior.

ALSO, how good does Teri Hatcher still look? She is 44 years old and still looks FIRE. I know women in hollywood have plenty of money for plastic surgery and all of that stuff but damn she's aged well. GetttEmmmmmmm Teri. I only hope that Conan can recover from such a blow on national television...I haven't seen a celeb take a fall like that since Britney shaved her head and looked like an alien (figuratively).

BTW I guess this is just my blog now since no one else posts...and I guess I'm like the only one that reads it since a quick scan shows no one has commented in like a week. I guess I'll just have to continue my dream of becoming a rapper and give up on this blogging.

-JPerk

The Second half of Music....Tuesday????

Sorry for being a terrible blogger and not bringing you part 2 last night. I was at work and never got to it. Maybe once I get a real job I will be able be a better blogger....either that or this site will be blogged and I'll never blog. I guess we can cross that bridge when we get to it....

Lil Wayne and his Young Money crew - "Bed Rock"

Haven't heard anything from B.O.B. in a while. This one is off the NBA 2k10 soundtrack....as always I'm feeling his flow even though it's a little different.

Hellooooo Sydneyyyyyyyyy

Oh yes...from what I've just been reading Wes Craven's Scream Trilogy is about to...start over? It looks like Scream 4 is set to be released in 2010, and from what I'm reading it looks like it's going to be the start of a new trilogy. Both David and Courtney Arquette have signed on and it looks like Neve Campbell also did teh same recently. Not many details to report other than that. Click HERE for a short US News article about the movie if you don't believe me.

I will get out a Music Monday Part 2 soon my peoples.

Music Monday Part 1

Good Afternoon my people. I hope that all of you are having a terrible Monday just like me....let's get to Part 1

Juelz Santana ft. Tobb Cobain - "Harlem"
I like Juelz a lot, and let's face it you could put ME on this beat and let me read the paper and it would be ill. I'm sure you will realize it sounds familiar.

And next I bring you this corny song from T-pain...not because it's good, but because it's true.

T-pain - "Women Be Shopping"
Seriously T-pain...is this really a song? Did you come up with this??? WTF.

Get at ya in a bit with Part 2.

Is this story funny or pathetic?

A NY school teacher who is also a Red Sox fan made one of his students turn his Yankees jersey shirt inside out. Really not sure how I feel about this one...to be honest I kinda hate it. You read and be the judge. Click HERE for the full article and decide on your own. This is the obnoxious stuff that gives Sox fans a bad name. Don't get me wrong for one second though, there are completely absurd and obnoxious fans on both side of this rivalry...I just try not to associate with most of them (Except for you Stello).

BTW I found it funny today that there was even a discussion about whose lineup was better between the Sox/Yanks. Listen, I love the Red Sox...and yes I know they play in the bandbox, but Teixeira and ARod would be without a question the two best hitters in this Boston lineup. I love Bay and Martinez as much as anyone, but that's the truth people. Not to mention as much as I love Pedroia, is Cano like BETTTERRRRRRR!!?!?!

With that being said...the regular season means nothing once the Post Season starts. October has shown to be the great equalizer people, the team playing best in the playoffs is not always the best team during the regular season.....SO HEAHHHRRRS TAAA SOXXXTOBBAHHHHHHH DOOOOOOOODDDDDDDDDDDD.

Paranormal Activity

Paranormal Activity has been getting a lot of buzz over the past few weeks. It's been dubbed one of the scariest movies of all time. How sweet is that?

Obviously, I was intrigued -- even more so when I found out it was a low budget independent like Blair Witch. How low of a budget? Try $15,000. The guy who made it was a video game designer who had a few non-name actors and bunch of friends in San Diego help him. It was filmed on a friggin hand-held camera.

So how did it get huge? Speilberg saw that thing and freaked out. Guy was scared and loved it so he got DreamWorks (now Paramount owned) to buy it.

They're releasing it in select college cities tomorrow and mass releasing it mid-October. I actually have screening tickets to see it tonight but have to work. Get at me if you like want those.

Here's the trailer:

The long awaited return of....A Bro I know

So before I put my friend on blast I want to first tell you what inspired this post. This kid really isn't a Bro by any means....but as I'm reading facebook status' today very hard at work I come across the status of this dude saying something about teaching school and then parent teacher conferences. I have to ask you now parents who read this blog...DO YOU WANT THIS KID TEACHING YOUR CHILD!?!?!?
Cleems, I love ya dude (no homo) but there is no way my kid is going to be in your class. Kidding me with this as your facebook picture???? Imagine walking into a parent teacher conference with this kid as the teacher and a fat bottle of dip spit on the table as he talks about your son/daughters math progress as described through his various gambling experiences.

It seriously messes with me that my friends are growing up and having careers....mainly because I know my friends very well. They should NOT be having careers. They should stick to what their good at which is getting blackout and making fools of themselves just like ME. Like Oh Yeah little Billy Bentley, your a mid level manager at an important accounting firm now???? YOU COULDN'T EVEN PASS GENERAL ACCOUNTING WITHOUT CHEATING WITH ME 3 YEARS AGO WTF IS GOING ON!?!?!? Trust me, by no means am I hating...I want everyone to have a good job and a good career, and be F*ing happy as hell. I just literally laugh out loud when I think of some of my friends working in the real world.

That is my rant for the day...I apologize if it has offended you. Keep fighting the good fight my people.

Leading us to the obvious question...

Is Lady GaGa hot? I mean I know her music is, and I know that I will without a shadow of a doubt attending this tour...but seriously no one knows what GaGa looks like. It's such a mystery to me...how do we just not know? Trust me, when it comes to music I seperate looks and talent...if you look horrid and have an ill voice I am going to think your ill so I'm not even sure this question matters. But don't you all want to just know what this girl really looks like?Another thing that me and Nick were joking about a few days ago was the whole "GaGa is a dude," controversy that went on like a month ago. One of our boys Sev made the joke that basically don't you dare be successful and talented as a female in the music industry or they will slap a dick on you faster than Usain Bolt. "Oh she's way too good...someone get out there and spread the rumor that she has a dick..."Anyways for whatever reason finding a real picture of what Lady GaGa looks like is harder than finding a girl that doesn't have a butterfly tatoo on the South Shore. This probably means that she's not that attractive as she wants to be at least...but I for one don't care. She's still fire in my book....hopefully once I blow up in the music industry me and GaGa will collaborate and I will be able to tell the world what she really looks like. Until then, we are left to wonder.

-JPerk

Excuse Me for Posting All This Fire

WEST + GAGA = Fame Kills Tour. They announced the dates a couple of days ago, the circus comes to town Dec. 16th, Worcester, Ma. DCU Center. Here's the entire list of dates.

My favorite concert to date was when Kanye came to BC. They worked some kind of serious magic with the acoustics in our shit arena. But yeah...so it can only be better right with Lady Gaga? Kanye posted this today which got me all kinds of excited.

The rumors are that they will be sharing the stage, which I think will be f-bombing amazing. So, I mean there is no way that this isn't going to be an amazing show.

Tickets go on sale, September 25th...so if you haven't got me a birthday present yet, then this is the perfect opportunity. I guess it's at www.livenation.com. or wherever else people buy tickets.

It's Wednesday, That Means: Get Money, Get Paid.

I can't believe I missed this, I blame the economy. It's old, but I think there are some good takeaways, especially for those of you that have 3 stray BL's and 2-day-old Domino's in your fridge. And yes, it is all about the chrome fixtures...

Cheese Machine, Cheese Machine...For 3 Easy Payments of Cheese Machine, you can have your own Cheese Machine. God, I love Magic Hugs.

Been waiting on this for a minute....Drake feat. Kanye West, Lil Wayne, and Eminem "Forever"

Finally the video has come out courtesy of IMFlashy.com. Hype Willias directed music videos never disapoint, and I can't lie...I sweat the Lebron theme behind this. GettEm Drake.

Mike Posner is to R&B, as L.A. is to Hip-Hop.

Surprisingly, forming intelligible analogies is not apart of my vast reportoire of talents, along with deciphering irony. I is smart.

Eh, what I was trying to say is Mike Posner had been out for a hot min before I began my (not so)pseudo-obsession with him, and L.A. has been around for like more than a hot min, like maybe 2 and I first heard him featured on Something That I Like, by Ryan Leslie. Long story short, my ears like it.

One Night Girl, L.A. Featuring Mr. Music

Imma Star (Everywhere We Are) Remix, Jeremih Featuring L.A.

Speaking of Mike Posner, he announced his next Mixtape for mid-October. And this is just for fun slash a way better cover than the real song...

First Date Sex, Mike Posner

My continuing man crush on Tim Tebow

I have no problem admitting that I currently have many man crushes. And I mean I don't think it's out of the ordinary that I have one on Tim Tebow even though he is a younger male....because I love all younger women...so it really all aligns. I am a heterosexual male who is very comfortable with themselves so feel free to leave comments about how gay I am for liking Tebow or something. So the reason for this post is the picture that I'm posting below....I literally came on to post this and just saw that it was just put up on a very popular boston blog site. SHIT THAT SUCKS.

While I am very discouraged that this image has been posted...I am still going to go through with this post. And I am going to do this for 2 reason.

1. How absurd is it that Tim Tebow still claims to be a virgin when there are probably girls like this lining up at his door on a nightly basis to blow him!?!?!? It might be the biggest travesty of our generation people....can you imagine it?

and...

2. The other site did not post the Tim Tebow song that WKFTB BROKE last year right before the National Championship game. SUCKKK IT BARSTOOOL!!!!!

Tim go get laid will ya.

Music Monday Part 2

Part 2 I'm coming at you with some lesser known stuff....I've been feeling these two dudes lately.

Ya Boy - "We Ready"
Hey there is something about Ya Boy that just kills it....can't put my finger on it.

Bow Wow - "The Trailer"
Will Bow blow up on Cash Money??? Is he even on it for sure? Someone answer me.

-JPerk

A Smattering.

If I had nickel, nay a penny for every douchie word I heard from my desk I would honestly be at least a thousandaire. Heard "smattering", looked it up pretty much immediately to assure myself that the person used it wrong, and they did. It's all about the small victories, everyday.

Full Disclosure, Biblically. So, apparently this lady not getting laid for half a century somehow reinforces whatever point she was originally trying to make (I want to assume it has something to do with Roe V Wade). It's probably a blessing in disguise, some people in this god-forsaken world should be banned from procreating all together and exiled to an island where they can be the dry-humping, christian zealots they were fated to be.

The Office is back, which is good because besides being highly entertaining it also keeps fresh the get-out-of-corporate-america-asap idea in my mind. Parkour, hardcore!

I'm def looking into finding some co-workers to parkour around the financial district

C-Breezy will never catch a break. Chris Brown this is for forgetting that you beat Rihanna to a near bloody pulp and then wearing a wifebeater to your court-mandated chain gain, garbage-picking, paparazzi fest -- we all know you aren't clever enough to understand the irony.

Attention: If you dig math, but also dabble in Hip-hop check out this site. Yeah, you might be a nerd. But, I'm here to support you. There are so many Venn diagrams and obscure rap references to make any nerd's day...

Music Monday Part 1

Haven't given Cudi's CD (Man on the Moon) a full play yet because I am still so into Blueprint 3. But I'm feeling this freestyle....

Kid Cudi - "Hip Hop Hooray 2009"

Also we've had this song up here before but it looks like this is the final version and some of the lyrics and production is a bit different....including LESS Lil Wayne which I hate, but oh well.

Madonna feat. Lil Wayne - "Revolver"

Back with part 2 later.

The Kid's feeling old....

(This photo was taken of me last week..just being ill).

First of all I apologize for sucking at blogging lately. I have been busy at work making dollars so that I can eventually take over the world and entertain all of you full time.

Anyways, I get home from work tonight at like 11:30 which is shitty enough as it is...and then my roomate Mary, who is also my mother....starts telling me about how she saw some girl that was talking about me blah blah blah. Well I was half listening because a day doesn't go by when there isn't some girl blabbing to Mary about The Kid....

...but then as she re-told the story because she knew I wasn't listening it dawned on me that she was talking about a girl that was a student during my first year working at S.P.E.D. camp, and also that this "girl" who was once my student when I was like 18 now has a child in the first grade. A F*ING CHILD THAT'S IN THE FIRST GRADE!?!?!?! I STILL LIVE AT HOME!!!! AND THIS GIRL HAS A CHILD...HOW OLD AND PATHETIC AM I? (don't answer in the comment section).

Moving on to another thing that makes me feel old...I remember playing Tecmo Super Bowl on like Nintendo....here is the replay of Brandon Stokley's catch this past weekend.
Pretty sweet huh?

Alright I'm out ya bitches. Enjoy your weekend.

The Best Song Out?

Wait a tick, I know Cudi and Jigga just came out, but is this song the best song out?

Big ups to Kate for introducing it to me this week.

Now introducing, the best girl song since Maneater, Lady Gaga's Parazzi:

I guess we all have to dig deep and ask ourselves now, can Lady Gaga be stopped? Doubtful. She's taking over pop music.

There's an epic full video too. I was gonna make a joke, something about why Eric from True Blood is in it, but looked closely and pretty sure that's like the real him:

A Tribute to...Matthew Berry

I was on the treadmill today (shocking, I know) with ESPN on the TV silent in the background as usual, when a new commercial came on. I have no idea what the commercial was for, just that it had something to do with ESPN and GEICO (the caveman was in it) and it starred Matthew Berry with his half-bald head and normal shit-eating grin.

It got me thinking: is this chooch secret ill?

The answer? A resounding 'Yes.'

Matthew Berry is the man. For girls and dudes that don't like sports/fantasy/life, Matty B is the No. 1 fantasy guru at ESPN. He was a nice little gimmick at first. The "fantasy guy" who would have a short segment or two every fall talking about some made-up geek game for non-athletes while announcers and SportsCenter anchors poked fun at him.

But now with the ascension of fantasy sports, especially football, Berry has become the man. Old-fart executives and blue-haired decision makers took awhile to come around on fantasy. But once they suddenly (finally) realized it catered to the golden audience, the much coveted 18-30 year old male demographic, you know, the ones actually spending money, they realized the marketing potential was limitless.

Need to sell beer or snacks? Want to pitch crispy violent TV shows and action movies? This is your audience.

And because ESPN, like most ginormous enterprises, is driven by the bottom line, they started pumping more staff, Internet space, air time and dollars into fantasy.

This brings me back to Berry. As a pioneer of fantasy he no doubt was laughed at and ridiculed most of his "career" before fantasy really took off. Now because he gutted it out, he ended up in the right place at the right time and is now at the forefront of the fantasy movement. Although Yahoo! has a chokehold on the fantasy community, iit's limited to online. Yahoo's online videos can't match the scope of plain old ESPN television. The exposure is off the charts.

All this makes Matthew Berry the face of fantasy, a face you no doubt love to hate for all its choochness (look at him hammered gaming on some broad to the right) but still appreciate with that underlying sense of jealousy. I mean, what guy wouldn't want to by Matthew Berry. HIS JOB IS FANTASY. HE GETS PAID FOR FANTASY!!! Redicccc.

(Couple other things about that pic to the right: love the couple fake posing, allowing the camera person to secret snap Berry's mug. has that trick ever not worked?? Also like the Sev/Tevlin mix in the background.)

In doing some research for this post, I found this absolute gem. Get OUTTA HERE with this thing. I strongly suggest watching it all. Just wait for the 38 sec mark. Wooo:

Matthew Berry, today is your lucky day. Big props from all of us at WKFTB.

Thursday Throwback: Zubaz/Hammer Pants

(Every Thursday WKFTB will bring you a throwback, something that reminds us of our late-80s-early-90s childhood. Today's edition: Zubaz/Hammer Pants.)

For weeks Jake has been asking be to highlight "Hammer Pants" in the weekly Thursday Throwback. Having zero clue what these were, I chalked it up to him being sick and delirious for the 453rd time this year, pretended it was a dece idea and moved on to something else. It wasn't until today that I realized he was like righhhttt. Balla IM'd me saying "Zubaz" would be a good idea.

What the F are Zubaz? He sent me a pic:

Ohh that's right, those things. I knew exactly what it was then. I remember kids wearing these huge baggy softish pants usually in ridiculous colors and designs. Still a bit unsure, I called Wolfie to see if he knew what they were. He said yes and sent me a pic of him waring them back in the day:

See, both comfortable and fashionable, Zubaz were the Troy Brown of fashion -- they could do it all. Now you don't have to be that beast above to rock 'em. Many people did. Lots of middle schoolers, lots of people at the gym and particularly a lot of bros.

Successful people, poor people and everyone in between dabbled in Zubaz or Hammer Pants. Even unreal 80s-style athletes:

And that's back when the Dolphins were good. Coincidence? 'Fraid not my friend.

Of course, not all Zubaz were Hammer Pants and not all Hammer Pants were Zubaz. In fact, Zubs were just one brand made by a couple of gym dudes who wanted to give extreme roid heads pants they could fit in without them coming apart at the seams after a diesel power sled.

Hammer Pants were any kind of ridiculous baggy style pant made famous by, you guessed it, MC Hammer:

I actually didn't even own a pair of these. Not too sure why. Was I too up-tight? Was mom not down with these at JC Penny's or Filenes? Prolly not.

The good news -- for all of us -- is that Zubaz, the original, are back:

A Tribute to....Patriots Cheerleaders

Listen I'm sick...and when your sick you should get to do whatever you want because being sick sucks. I haven't eaten in like 18 hours and I think I'm going crazy... I have strep throat...what am I 10 years old? People still get strep throat? Give me a break...the point is I don't want to do a blog post, so here is the Pats 50th anniversary commercial thing. Many of you have probably already seen it, but watch it again, because hot Patriots cheerleaders are in it for at LEAST 10 seconds.

I'mma Let You Finish, but this is the Best Pic on the Internet

Lil' Mama is such a gremlin. Taking a quote from Kanye West: Lil' Mama's inner monologue, "Hova, I know you just performed and I'mma let you finish, but I'm Brooklyn's Best Rapper."

Kanye is a Jackass, true story. Obama knows some things about some things...

Locals Need Your Help

WKFTB highlights and supports all local talent. Whether it's the Lauzon brothers, Wambo, Brett Anthony or Mark Margirit doing the Ch. 7 weather, we love when our dudes succeed.

That said, here is a link to a Universal Studios Hollywood Horror Night film contest:

http://www.halloweenhorrornights.com/chiller

The first video that comes up, Appetence, is done by a school called The Factory with special effects/makeup done by Blood First Blood Only, a group consisting of two local dudes. The winning filmmaker receives a trip out to some Hollywood horror thing, so check out the vid (it's pretty good) and give it your vote. It's already made it to Top 10 our of 100.

Oh, and you may recognize a certain spikey haired chunko in it.

The second thing we need to talk about is the Sept. 25 Fox High School Friday. FOX will highlight and tape one HS football game that night and it's down to either Plymouth North-Silver Lake or East Bridgewater-Mashpee. We have a lot of EB people as our core base of readers, so show your support.

When Will the Teabaggers Relent?

I saw these today while I was working arduously in the cube. Thought they were worth the post. I personally think the country could use another McCarthy Era, that seemed fun from what I read in books.

Polls

We got two polls going over to the left. Haven't done them in awhile because the votes dropped from like 40-50 to like 15. Coool. With like a few hundred peeps checking this every day, figured we'd get a little more.

Maybe people don't see them or care for them, but I figured we could do a lil post to bring it to your attention. You can vote on the two questions, one about Kanye, one about the Pats and if you want to chip in your 2 cents, leave a comment below. Because of the general apathy of people our age, I'm not too sure if anyone will. But, what the F, right?

I've posted enough about Kanye, but here are my thoughts about the Pats last night:

The O is better than that. The offense sputtered along for the first three quarters. Part of it was Brady, he looked a little out of sorts at times, throwing off his back foot, as they pointed out 45 times in the booth. Another part was the rustiness of Wes Welker -- couple drops and miscommunications with Brady, you never see that really. You could tell he hadn't practiced much. The offense showed it's muscle in the last 5 minutes though, when it drove down the field for the first score and took care of business with the second one.

-Matt Light saacckkks. The biggest anomaly to me. I used to think it was because I didn't know enough about trench football, but now I think he was a great product of a good offense. How was this guy an ALL-PRO?? That means he was the best LT in the game. Get out of here. "Oh, he's good, but he struggles against speed rushers." Oh you mean he sucks against all the good ones?? Guy was a turnstile last night, Schobel just ran around him every time. And that's what you do with Matt Light, just run around him. I was surprised the Pats' extended Nick Kazur, with Sebastian Vollmer around, but with the reps Vollmer got for Light last night, I'm thinking they'll switch Vollmer to LT, keep Kazur at RT and let Light walk when his deals up.

-I think Brandon Merriweather is poised for a big year. I know, not exactly a stunning prediction, but he made the biggest play of the night and another year in the system will go a long way for this guy. He has all the tools, it's just the mental aspect now: being in the right spot, not taking stupid penalties, etc. And I know Jake hates him, so it makes it all the better. Bahahaha.

-The running game didn't impress me. Fred Taylor scored, but he looked his age most of the game. Maroney drives me mental at this point. I actually like him catching passes out of the backfield because he already has his feet going, but he just doesn't hit the hole aggressively enough. I like the 3rd-down offense with Faulk as the lone RB and 4 WRs spread is the most effective offense we have. Just toss screens to Faulk and Wes when you need to "run" it.

-The D might be risky. Trent Edwards looked pretty good last night. And in my mind, that's never a good sign. Buffalo cut their 2nd string RB, peaced their coordinator and had a pretty makeshift, young line and they were able to move the ball pretty effectively at points. Just the first game with a bunch of young guys who will take a couple games to get in a groove? Or will we miss Seymour (2 sacks against SD) and Vrabel (7 tackles Sunday)?

Kanye-Leno

As a result of an egregious oversight on my part, I failed to mention in the two Kanye posts yesterday that Mr. West was the music act (along with Jay-Z and Rihanna) for Jay Leno's first ever 10 o'clock show on NBC.

Well, Kanye volunteered to speak to Jay before they performed. Here it is if you haven't seen it. The 2:00 mark is surreal to me. I feel like he's trying to make himself cry like A-Rod in his steroid press conference. Then when Leno reaches out and touches his leg to console him...I don't know if it was supposed to be an emotional "moment" or what, but I literally burst out laughing.

Anyway:

Is there any doubt at this point that there will be a Kanye-Taylor Swift song?? I mean ANY? I'm saying it's 99.9%.

Any thoughts on this? Kate, I'm dying to hear more from you on it.

--Nick

I heard it.

At around 10pm last night...did you hear it? The sound of millions of NFL fans nation wide dropping a collective F bomb. Listen I was more than a few beers deep it might have been 10:30 I don't know...the point is millions upon millions of people were loving the fact that our Patriots were about to lose to the Bills. And don't deny that even you yourself had your doubts...I was nervous, I won't deny it. But when Brady threw his first of two TD's to Watson you just felt like something was going to happen, like somehow they would pull it out.
If you don't think the Pats are one of the most hated on teams in Professional sports you are out of your mind. And hey you can't really blame people...NO ONE outside of New England wants to see a team win 3 of 4 Super Bowls, then just a few years after that run flirt with perfection. No one wants to hear about how Perfect Tom Brady is...how he performs in the cluth every time...how Randy Moss has completely turned his career around...or how Bill Belichick is the best coach in the NFL. They hate is heaviest when your on top people, and like it or not the Patriots are still at least near the top of the NFL. They still command the respect of a champion even coming off a year where they didn't even make the playoffs. And hey I understand...my intense hatred for the Yankees as a child was completely a product of their winning ways. I'm not saying the hate isn't warranted...I'm actually saying you should love it. Laugh at the haters, because hate only comes when your good. (Trust me the Kid knows all about this).

So as you watch this season unravel please take time to appreciate what you are watching...because even if this team does not win a Super Bowl ring we are watching the closest thing to a Dynasty that the NFL will produce in teh forseeable future.

Oh and BTW, how crispy did those Uni's look!?!?!

More Than A Game

More Than A Game is the documentary coming out about Lebron James' high school team.

Ill trailer with old school pics and interviews here:

There's also a sweet interview with more awesome dece dorky high school pics, but the chooch disabled embedding. Anyway, it's like 2 minutes long and YouTube link is here.

The crazy thing about it is that the kid who shot all the footage was some college film student who asked to tape one practice for an internship. He ended up just showing up everyday, at practice, in the locker room, etc., and they just never asked him to leave. Hohooo now he has crispy footage and turned it into his first movie. How lucky/ill is that? Hustle results in good fortune.

Nobody Puts Yeezy In the Corner

This might be insensitive, but the internets aren't known to care about your feelings. Thanks Chris for this, it made me rlol x2.

The Wait is Over

We've waited over a year for this moment. Well, 373 days to be exact. But it felt even longer.

We've gone through a harsh winter, a hopeful spring and a rainy summer. In that time we've seen the death of the King of Pop, the passing of a Kennedy legend, the nation's first black president and a recession that will go down as second worst in American history after the Great Depression.

New England has been depressed. We were bounced from the NBA and NHL playoffs, squashing hopes of a parquet-to-ice same day switch in mid June. The local baseball team made a valiant effort last October, but an undermanned and ultimately tired ball club sputtered out in the 7th game of the ALCS.

A lot has gone down since Tom Brady left the 2008 season opener with a torn knee. Now the wait is over. No. 12 is back and with him dreams of a championship, the fourth of the decade and one that would firmly establish the Patriots as THE team of the 2000s.

Last year, we had Matt Cassell, the man who just made himself $63 million with his solid performance last season. We had 11-5. But it wasn't enough. Something was missing in out lives. And that something just happens to have a cannon arm, uncanny confidence, blue eyes and a cute lil bum chin.

From P-Town to Pawtucket, Bangor to Boston, New England is rejoicing. Brady means more to us than any QB to any other fan base. Guys love him. Chicks dig him. Little kids idolize him. Everyone sweats him. His revered. Already, a spot sits for him in the pantheon of Boston Greats, right next to Williams, Bird, Yaz, Russell, Orr and Bourque.

He's ours. And he's back.

7 p.m. EST. Getcha' popcorn ready...

Kayne Vol. 2

Kanye also issued two apologies, one a blog post he put up last night then took down soon after. Here's the screen shot from TMZ.com via MTV.com:

Here is the other one he posted a few minutes ago:

"I feel like Ben Stiller in "Meet the Parents" when he messed up everything and Robert De Niro asked him to leave... That was Taylor's moment and I had no right in any way to take it from her. I am truly sorry."
Guy better keep apologizing because he's taking a lot of shit from the celeb community. We love Kanye and Taylor here on WKFTB so it's been very hard on all of us.
--Nick

Kanye

Figured we should post the vid to accompany the post below. I can picture Taylor Swift running backstage and bawling after this:

Kanye West Storms The VMA Stage

The crowd hated, Kayne was booted from the show and left the building after. Love MTV. Beyonce ended up inviting Swift onto the stage later in the show after Beyonce won Video of The Year. Dece classy move. Not to mention she was smokkkkinnnggg last night:

Kanye West Hates Me

Mr. West hates white girls. Kidding... lol smileyface.

Most of you may have been in the same Sunday night primetime predictament. You, like myself obviously picked the True Blood Finale (explosive by the way, I hope Vampire Bill perishes for cockblocking Vampire Eric) over the VMAs, but I have to say I was recapping the shitwreck this morning and I support Kanye’s mental illness. Remember when MTV didn’t have to pay celebrities to act out during their award shows? I don’t. I also don’t believe this wasn’t planned, as scatterbrained as I believe Kanye to be I thought there had to be some ulterior motive (cash and/or good(bad) publicity) that was distracting him from the real issue at hand: Amber Rose being regurgitated by a python. Blame it on the Heh-heh-heh-heh-hennessey.

In other irrelevant news, if you haven’t caught any of the VMAs be sure to check out Lady Gaga’s performance, she may or may not be a tranny…but she is without question one of the most talented performers going right now...make note of the seizure she had while playing the piano…like who can do that? I chuckled at the random yet poetic pan to P.Diddy in the middle of the song, I guess showing him what real talent is. Ehh...I'll just throw it in...I can watch/listen to it while I reread my own posts.

Lady Gags Bitches Performing Paparazzi -- I really like this partially because I'm really into Zombies right now. ehh.

Kanye really needs to stop interrupting shit and stop whoring out Beyonce’s Single Ladies video.

Music Monday Part 1

The Kid Is Backkkkkkkkkkkk. Some of you might not like this but I'm going to start off with something different...there is nothing wrong with something a little serious, and I've been feeling Bow lately.

Bow Wow - "Regret Part 2"

Annnnd just because I sweat Ne-Yo...

50 Cent feat. Ne-Yo - "Baby By Me"
Am the I only one that thinks 50 can still come back with a CD relevant to rap??? Trust me I'm not saying "Get Rich Or Die Tryin'" qaulity...but at least like Massacre style. I don't know what his deal is. (Balla I know you will comment on this post I'm interested on what you have to say).

Part 2 in a bit.

Thursday Late Throwback: Yikes! Pencils

(Every Thursday WKFTB will bring you a throwback, something that reminds us of our late-80s-early-90s childhood. Today's edition: Yikes! Pencils.).

After last week's Back to School post, I had school supplies on the brain. This post could have easily been about Trapper Keepers and how sweet those beastly Velcro folders were, but instead I wanted to get specific. Specifically, Yikes! pencils.

Yikes, as you may recall, were sweet multi-colored, crazy patterned pencils. They had weird erasers that were strange colors, green and yellow tips and some had different feels with zig-zag patterns and such.

Some of them even changed colors when you wrote. Still, the bread and butter were the ones that changed different colors when your sharpened them. I mean, yea, it was just multi-colored wood product slammed into once pencil, but it seemed magical at the time. A green pencil for one week, a yellow one for the next! Wooo!

I don't even know why these were popular. I guess making any type of school thing "cool" works, but these just seem pretty gay to me now.

But back in the 90s they were certainly sweet. Writing with a regular No. 2? Boring. You needed a swirly red and yellow with a purple eraser to complete that worksheet. You could maybe even store your Yikes pencils in your trapper keeper. Now that's a beastly student.

The other underrated thing about Yikes! was the exclamation point. Which can first, Yikes! or Yahoo!..? Did Yahoo! rip off Yikes! or vice versa? It looks awfully similar with the Y, doesn't it? A true mystery, no doubt.

As always, leave any memories in the comment section.

Friday Ramblings....

Ahhh the first weekend after Summer...lucky for all of us men it should be filled with both College and NFL football, and thank god for that. Speaking of NFL football....

The Steelers and their fans have always been obnoxious to me. I think it mainly stems from the Patriots waxing them in the playoffs and each year some clown like Kordell Stewart or Larry Flowers saying the best team didn't win.....give me a break. I'm pretty sure the best team did win, and then go on to win the bowl as well. Anyways...I feel you Justin Gage.

It looks like TextFromLastNight.com is going to be made into a tv show.. If you care to read more click HERE For the whole story. I'm still waiting for my moment of brilliance when I can invent something as simple/stupid, and popular and watch it blow up. Something like TheKidIsBack.com where I tell people how back I am or something.....the day will come.

OK, as all of you kow today is yet another anniversary of September 11th. I phrase never forget simply isn't good enough for today. I remember exactly where I was and what my thoughts were when this tragedy was going on and words and prayers will never bring back the people we lost and the destruction of New York City. Obviously I really can't do it justice....here is Dave Lettermen on September 17, 2001...he does a lot better.

Have a good weekend.
