Listen I have to say sorry for not telling all of you about this earlier...because well....I already have tickets. But anyways if you DIDN'T know Jay-z is going on tour this fall and is coming in this area twice with a show at the Dunkin Donuts Center October 24, and then at the Mullins Center at Umass Amherst the next night. For tickets go to LiveNation and type in Jay-z's name. Anyways...Jigga just added three acts to the tour including N.E.R.D., Wale, and J Cole who appears on BP3. Click HERE to read the full release from Jigga's website.
Lil' Mama is such a gremlin. Taking a quote from Kanye West: Lil' Mama's inner monologue, "Hova, I know you just performed and I'mma let you finish, but I'm Brooklyn's Best Rapper."
Kanye is a Jackass, true story. Obama knows some things about some things...
Jay-Z feat. Rihanna and Kanye West - "We Run This Town" F I R E.
Teairra Marie feat. Kanye West and Ma$e Hey I'm trying to bring back Ma$e so get used to seeing his stuff on here every week if he is featured on one song....yeah and I guess Kanye is on both of these songs too, oh wel. What's wrong, like too much fire?
This isn't a real song in the sense that it was 4 verses put together for this beat....all the verses are from these dudes parts of other songs but god damn is it fiyyahhhhhhh.
WoW. These four dudes and Eminem run it in my mind.
Gotta keep following him because he's in the news so much lately. Rap Radar had an exclusive interview with him on everything from Bruno to the rumors his hotel was broken into and hsi laptop stolen. Here is the short interview:
RR: Can you clear up the Bruno stunt at the MTV Awards? Was it staged or planned? Eminem: Sacha called me when we were in Europe and he had an idea to do something outrageous at the Movie Awards. I'm a big fan of his work so I agreed to get involved with the gag.
If it wasn't planned the way you agreed to, do you hold MTV or Sacha responsible and will you take any kind of action? I'm thrilled that we pulled this off better than we rehearsed it. It had so many people going "nuts" so to speak. Everyone was blowing me up about it.
After you left the ceremony, where did you go? After the ceremony I went back to my hotel and laughed uncontrollably for about 3 hours. Especially after I saw it on air.
There is a rumor that you hotel room was robbed and theives got 60K and your laptop while you were at ceremony. Is that true and if so what would someone find on your computer? The only thing was that I lost a Nike watch that we were looking for. The rest it is made-up like half the other stuff out there.
How do you think the show with Jay went and how did it feel performing "Renegade" again? I love performing with Jay. Its the third time we've done the song together live and its always fun. It was an honor to share the stage with him again and to work with his band.
I have been sweating this song for so long, It's Coldplay feat. Jay-Z Lost Remixxxx...It is easily my favorite mash-up of 2008. In fact, Jay-z might be the king of the mash-up...which is another post for another time. For now I hope you feel this track as much as I do....
Skip to about 2:10 if you don't want to hear Coldplay, which I think is a mistake on your part.
And yes I'm ready for all of the "Hey Jake, you know how I know your gay...you listen to Coldplay" comments you all will leave.
HOV has a whole mash-up mixtape with Coldplay if your interested. Download the whole mixtape from THIS site....the link to download is on the right....
That's right folks, we are expanding. Pictured above is the newest member of the gang, Slick Nick. He enjoys Brett Favre, pooka shell necklaces, and other BRO-tastic things of that nature.
But seriously look for more from us in the future. Myself, Wolfie, and Nick are looking to make this thing more legit which might mean a name / URL address change in the near future.
In the words of Jay-Z:
"....go father, go further, go harder, is that not why we came? And if not then WHY BOTHER."
Happy Monday everybody.....I'm not even working and I still hate Monday. I've been meaning to throw some new music up here for the last week or so, but I have been busy posting on NYE, and Bros and all that other shit. So here are some of the songs that have come out over the past 2 weeks or so that I think are fire.
Jadakiss feat. Faith Evans "Letter to B.I.G."
DJ Khaled, Kanye West, Jay-z "Go Hard REMIXXXXX"
Fabolous "Brooklyn REMIXXXXX"
This next song isn't new...and there is a remix floating around out there with Rick Ross, but I couldn't find it on youtube so for now just listen to this one.
Maino - "However do you want it" Listen to more of Maino man, he's got some skills and has been putting out fire on mixtapes for like 4 years. He is also a real life G, not like some of these other clowns who are as hood as me and Wolfie.
Might be the only person who really sweats Chamillionaire, but I don't really care. This freestyle is fire to me, and the beat is crazy....if it sounds familiar that's because its Shyne's More or Less. That shit was fire as well.
Alright I have to throw a little R+B in there for the ladddiiiessssss...since I'm sure there are at least 3-4 that read this. And I sweat R+B and Hip-Hop combinations.....also Young Jeezy kills it. Ciara Feat. Young Jeezy "Never Again"
I could probably go on forever with this, so I am going to stop right now before I post like 300 youtube videos. Im out for now....
Alright everyone I'm back on here, even though I know there might be 2 people that have even read this thing, I'm going to keep it going any ways. First of all I gotta tell you that the thought behind this post came from XXL online...which just recently had an article about the top 10 hip-hop trends that need to go in 2009. (Here is the link to hiphopegame.com which is where I read the article...by the way I hope your impressed that I figured out how to put the link in there like that chyeaaaaaaaaa).
So moving on....on the list is something about getting rid of the hit formula that is featuring Lil Wayne, T-pain, or Akon. For all of you that follow the mixtape hip-hop y'all know that you have seen featuring Lil Wayne with everyone from Jay-Z to the homeless dude on the corner. The dude jumps on a track with everyone, which I guess can be a good thing, but damnnnn he flooded hip-hop with it. I've always been a fan of Wayne, when he puts out his best work, he is one of the best if not the best in the game....BUT the way he puts out music lately has me questioning him. I know dude wants to stay busy, and is always making music and I respect that, but it needs to be GOOD music. All summer I suffered through Carter III withdrawals as Wayne is putting out shit that I don't even get...and maybe I wasn't supposed to get but I thought he fell off. Since then he has definitely come back with some fire, but why not take a look at the top. Think about what a Jay-Z track does to you...first of all if its a good month Jay is on one MAYBE two tracks, and there both fire. I look forward to seeing Jay-z pop up on a mixtape.....shit I see Wayne on every mixtape of every DJ, the shit just doesn't mean as much anymore. As I said Wayne has been killing it lately, I hope he stays on this hot streak and stops putting out meaningless shit just to get something on record.
Alright...now that I got that out of the way I gotta be a hypocrite and post this Wayne song Hot Revolver because it's crazy. Enjoy. And if your reading this and like it...tell someone else about it shit. I still don't have a comment or n e thing. Eventually I will ramble about something other than music too, I'm versatile babbbyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy. ONE.
