So I watched most of the Michael Jackson memorial yesterday after camp. Pretty solid I thought. Right in the middle of touching remembrance and celebration.
Besides his daughter's tear-jerking comments at the end, one thing really stood out to me. The performance of one 12-year-old chub who could sing his ass off. Had to do a lil research on who this random lil boy that was singing at the biggest memorial of the decade.
Turns out it's Shaheen Jafargholi, a finalist on the recent powerhouse season of Britain's Got Talent. Check out this if you didn't see it yesterday. Kid is amazing:
This is how it all started. He's trying to show the BGT judges -- including Simon Cowell -- what he can do. Cowell hates it at first. Then he switches the song and you;ll see what happens:
How ill is that? Kid busts out his idol's song in a competition. Murders it. Then gets to perform the same song at said idol's memorial televised worldwide. Good for him.
