Whats going on with King James lately? He wins the MVP and has what most people thought was the best team in the league, but is stopped by an insanely hot Orlando team, and 8:1 underdog, in the conference finals. Since then he has been in a rut.
So LBJ storms off the court, no handshakes, no media, no nothing. Personally I didn't have a problem with it. I almost liked seeing that he cares that much. Irresponsible? Maybe. But it was better than seeing him joking around after, and being fine with blowing a shot at a title. Theres something to say about a guy who should approach a billion dollars in net worth at some point getting so worked up over a loss.
But what is this rut Im talking about? Well, its sort of tongue in cheek, but a few things made me worry a little. The rumored MF'n N bomb on a recent radio drop was weird. The fact that even after the Shaq trade noone wants to sign with Cleveland (Ariza and Artest ditched him because they know hes going to the Knicks). Hell, even Jay-Z was shooting threes in his eye in the new D.O.A. video.
And now today we hear that he got absolutely punked and posterized by Jordan Crawford (Xavier by way of Indiana) in a pickup game during the Nike Skills Academy he hosts. Whats even worse is that we will never see the tape because Lebron and/or Nike confiscated it right away, and yea Im serious. Supposedly it was a two handed dunk that made the place explode. Im sure it will be part of Crawford's legend, but damn I wish it was on Youtube right now.
Snap out of it Lebron. We can't have our MVP get embarassed like this. You think Kobe would be letting this happen? The answer is no. He wouldn't have left the gym since that game 7. Pull yourself together man.
