What do Nick and Jake do for work in the Summer?

For those of you that don't know the answer to that question...allow me to tell you. For the past few summers Nick and I have worked at a Special Education camp at Brockton High. It is probably one of the best jobs I have ever had, and I consider myself to be very close friends with the kids that I teach at the camp. I know that you are going to look at these pictures and judge me and Nick and think that we are bad examples, or that we make fun of them or something....but before you do that please realize that we are some of these kids closest friends. We have taught them how to add, subtract, and be ill.

Me and My Son.

So while all the rest of you have been sitting around in an office all summer crunching numbers, me and Nick have been molding the future of our youth and teaching them to DX crotch chop. I honestly wake up everyday and look forward to my job...and from the looks of Nick so does he.
Nick and DX
So once again...I ask you not to judge these pictures. It's just a couple of the guys having a good time in between learning. You probably all think we are such bad examples because we jokingly do the DX chop, or because I'm posting these pictures on the blog (which I probably shouldn't be), but if you went in there and asked who the best counselors/teachers assistants were, it would be dudes like me and Nick. I invite you all to come and visit us...next week is the last week....get at the kid and come meet the BEST KIDS EVAAAAAAAAA.

Because I Love You Guys..

And to make up for the slow day, I'll give you a little something before you hit the sack or for when you hit the cubicle tomorrow...

-You know who I'm f'n sick of? The stupid old guy in the Six Flags commercials. If I hear "More Flags, More Fun!!" in that lil crit voice of his, I might have to return to Six Flags New England and steal another push pop with my boy, Climo. (Yea we were banned for a while.)

Seriously though, this is one of the Top 5 Choochiest people on television. This ad campaign is so annoying to me. Nothing says Six Flags like a ridiculous old person that's more than likely played by a younger actor with shit loads of makeup, which would hopefully explain his weird ass face. Guy makes me cringe:

-The "drunk bro grapple" is one the best/worst things you can see at a bar. Extremely common, it's tough to notice normally, unless of course you are one of the few (only) sober individuals in the house, which I sometimes am at the bar I work at. Anyway, ever notice that there are some guys who get real touchy and into fake fighting when they are wasted? This male on male grope session, 90% of the time involving one hand each on the other persons biceps while the other person battles back with the forearm grab, can be referred to as the drunk bro grapple.

It usually leads to a little jockeying back and forth and maybe a headlock or a few gay fake punches to the stomach later. Under normal circumstances one party usually hates the grabiness of the super-drunk bro (usually in a pink shirt or some sort of pop-collared ensemble). Either way, I hate being around this person. So sweaty and all over you. Stop touching me, bro.

-Just got in from a night out with Jake. Bought him a few shots and he disappeared. No clue where he went or what he was up to, but luckily one of my boys followed him and recorded his actions. Don't let this man drink:

How's Your News?

OK, so this was originally part of my Movie Monday post I was working on this morning for posting tomorrow morning before I jet off to spring training for a few days. But, the material was so vast, so funny, and required a certain amount of explanation that it needs its own post.

“How’s Your News?” is a new MTV shot produced by South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone about mentally disabled reporters who do newscasts and interview celebrities and stuff. Wowie.

It debuted on Feb. 8 and by the videos I’ve seen, is an absolute riot. If any of you at first glance are offended, don’t worry -- they aren’t making fun of them, just letting them tell a story. And as anyone who has worked with the mentally disabled knows (and the WKTFB have) humor is an important part of life with these people. In fact, their joy and unabashed realism is what they (especially people with Down syndrome) do best. Their honestly and demeanor make for riveting television. Trust me, it’s OK to laugh.

A little background first: the concept started in Massachusetts actually, when a few campers at a summer camp for adults with mental disabilities made a few news tapes. They sent some to Trey Parker and Matt Stone, who predictably loved it. When they got huge with SP, they made a documentary out of some of the HYN tapes and it eventually aired on HBO. Two years ago, they pitched the ideas to a variety of networks, with MTV signing on for the series.

Two of the reporters (Bobby Bird and Sean Costello) are from the original. And if you don’t want to chill with Sean Costello, you are nuttttss. Take a look:

Ho ho how ‘bout a John McCain interview?

And with Bam Margera, who is very ill:

There's Not Much to Do in Michigan

It's the real Doofy from Scary Movie:

A Michigan man "has pleaded no contest to indecent exposure after police said he was arrested for performing a sex act with a car wash vacuum."

Wayyyooo.

According to police, Jason Leroy Savage "was arrested after a resident called officers early on Oct. 16 to report suspicious activity at a car wash in Thomas Township, about 90 miles northwest of Detroit."
